Junior Golf
It's never too early to take up the game of a lifetime. Our goal for junior golfers within the BOYNE Golf Academy is to grow their game to their ability. We have developed a progression chart to see where your junior fits in and where they can take their game.

Junior Progression
Stage One: The First Tee
The First Tee Program is designed to provide a fun, engaging golf atmosphere for children aged 5 and older. During these popular courses, trained coaches and volunteers integrate Nine Core Values (honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment) along with Nine Healthy Habits into the lifelong game of golf - helping to perpetuate traditions that have long served The Highlands golfing community.

Stage Two: Learn The Game
The Learn The Game Junior Golf Program was started in 2008. This game based learning system is hailed as one of the best junior golf programs in the country. This program has produced many top ranked high school and college players and... it's fun!

From beginners to medalists, our staff will customize a lesson plan for each camper, so that we never slow one student down, or leave another behind.

Stage Four: Private Instruction
Any golfer of any ability can find extreme value in private instruction. Depending on your junior's learning style, this may even be the best option. Our BOYNE Golf Academy instructors come highly recommended and have numerous awards and accolades in relation to the game. Follow the link below to get familiar with our team and their philosophies.

Stage Five: High School & College Golf
Once a junior golfer reaches the age of 13-14 years old, they now have the opportunity to play competitive golf within their school district. This is a great option for the junior golfer who wants to take their game to the next level. While the student will have a coach in-season, the previous stage level programs are still an extremely useful tool outside of their golf season. Private instruction with one of our BOYNE Golf Academy instructors is also available.

Junior Has A Fit Program
Since 2003, Boyne Country Sports has been fitting young golfers with equipment that enables them to enjoy a day on the course.
The Junior Has A Fit program is now more than 11,000 kids strong and growing each season. Why join? It's simple, really. Whether you have a little golfer on your hands, our Junior Has A Fit Program is the perfect way to have gear that fits from season to season. No need to try and "squeeze a season or two" out of the equipment, thus sacrificing fit, comfort and performance.
Enter the program.
Get brand new, properly fitted equipment.
Return equipment.
Get new equipment the following season.
Yes, it is that simple.
Kids develop habits at a young age...whether that's the correct stance while addressing the ball or the correct balance on the balls of their feet. A critical component to forming the proper habits is correctly fitted equipment. A golf shaft that is the right length will allow them the proper stance and swing.
Not only does the correct fit enable young golfers to form the correct habits at an early age, it makes for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for them and for their parents! Contact your nearest Boyne Country Sports location for additional questions and details.
How it Works:
- Extending the theory that a golfer's first shot can set the tone for an entire round, the Junior Golf Trade-Up Program sets the tone for entire lifetimes spent enjoying golf. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3:
- Bring Junior to our Bloomfield Hills, Novi, Petoskey or Traverse City Boyne Country Sports location and we'll properly fit your young golfer.
- Return Junior's golf clubs with the paperwork once they have outgrown their clubs and you will receive 100% credit towards new Junior equipment.
- Repeat steps 1 & 2 for a perfect fit the following year.
Important conditions: $40 membership fee applies. Membership may not be transferred to another individual. Members may receive $100 credit toward any new adult set upon completion of the program. $10 seasonal exchange fee applies. Sets must be complete and in playable condition when returned.
